Royal Golf Club des Fagnes
Unrivalled tranquillity and very demanding holes is what passionate golfers from all over the world come for, when visiting the Royal Golf Club des Fagnes. Carefully constructed to follow the undulations and clearings of the age-old pine forest, the 18 very diverse holes meander around trees, tricky bunkers and elevations, while the player remains largely undisturbed, since the greens are so well protected.
The first nine holes of the club are spread across grounds that have originally harboured a full 18 holes – the club having been founded in 1907 already. Todays’ course was designed by Thomas Simpson in the late 1920s and stretches across to the famous Spa-Francorchamps Formula One race-track and has become a “must” for all golfers seeking a break in completely natural surroundings.
Overlooking the 9th green, relaxation can be found on the terrace of the charming clubhouse enclosed by trees and lush greenery. While members and guests stay to enjoy the quiet having some after-golf refreshments, a tailor-made catering service can be engaged to supply everything event organisers need from the welcoming cup of coffee on arrival through the prize-giving ceremony to the gala dinner itself.
