FIVE ACES CONVINCED OF WLG BENEFITS
GBN accolades WLG for five of its elite member clubs
The longer the list of World of Leading Golf member clubs, the more impressive it reads: While Monte Rei Golf & Country Club, Portugal; Penati Golf Resort, Slovakia and Royal Park I Roveri, Italy have been members of the association from the very beginning, luxury venues like Le Golf National Paris, France and Costa Navarino, Greece followed the lead in the past months …
… and there are many more renowned names to be identified, when checking on the exponentially expanding union. With clubs from 16 European countries and many further establishments from other continents currently in the application stage, the WLG board has taken the decision to appoint a ‘home’ base for each member country – and has so far confirmed six ‘home’ venues.
As Claus Feldt, CEO of World of Leading Golf, explained to GolfBusinessNews, “The ‘home’ venues function as a communications base and organisational centre for the country, taking care of PR and marketing, arranging events and serving as meeting places for peers, partners and management of member clubs.”
Since eye-level-communication and joint marketing activities are a core benefit WLG offers to member clubs, being a ‘home of’ not only strengthens a club’s position within the union, it leads to even more public awareness: The meetings and workshops held there will see club managers and business persons participating as well as representatives of the press and (potential) WLG brand partners.
The next event taking place at a ‘home of’ is the WLG Networking Day at gracious Stoke Park in England on the 9th of September. These Networking Days are conceived to present WLG and its benefits to potential member clubs in the respective country or region, but, as the name suggests, it is a perfect opportunity to share experiences and ideas in order to face market developments with on-target measures.
