The Modena Golf & Country Club is the very first of all courses designed by the most successful German golfer Bernhard Langer. Following his preferences, the Championship Course boats with an abundance of sizeable bunkers, numerous extra-large water hazards and wide greens – a great challenge for any golfer and an uplifting place to be in all aspects.
Situated just 10 km outside of the bustling town of Modena, the cities’ renowned country club covers over 100 hectares of gently rolling countryside displaying the luscious greenery of the Emilia Romagna. Modena Golf & Country Club has opened in 1989 and quickly gained international attention for its outstanding Parkland-style layout and some very tricky holes designed for aggressive play. Intricately designed fairways, 5 artificial lakes and a wicked number of bunkers lead the way through hills sprawling with old oak and maple trees and pass by historical landmarks, amongst them a country estate from the 15th century. All holes offer 6 tee offs, however, allowing players of all levels to enjoy the specifications of Langer’s course. Thanks to the meticulous care-taking of the grounds and the sophistication of all relevant establishments, the club has hosted many Opens, including the 50th jubilee of the Italian Open.
Besides state-of-the art practice grounds, the recreational offers of Modena Golf & Country Club are rounded off by two tennis courts and two swimming pools. The restaurant offers a mouthwatering choice of Italian foods and regional dishes for all tastes while other guests may prefer to refresh themselves at the bar maybe talking about a visit to Maranello and the popular Galleria Ferrari.
