PORTUGAL’S VIDAGO PALACE NOW MEMBER OF WLG
The site renowned for its Belle Epoque Hotel boats with an equivalent golf course

The Vidago Palace Hotel Golf Course is a playground of striking contrasts whose main features include raised tees and greens, and bunkers strategically sited for accurate play. Having been redesigned by the firm Cameron & Powell from an original by Mackenzie Ross, the course was transformed into a Par 72 course matching international standards.
Stretching out into the Centenary Park of the Vidago Palace Hotel, some holes are surrounded by century-old trees with tee walls made of local stone. Maintaining the identity of the original design and faithfully reflecting the beauty and distinctive flavour of the location was a must for the developers – honouring the traditional values of the sport just as much as the Vidago Palace itself. The Hotel is an iconic building designed in the early nineteen-hundreds, during the reign of King Carlos I and does all to sustain this ambience of splendor and sophistication.
